Configure Google Apps
By setting up Google Apps as the primary authentication service for Bitium, you can extend your primary identity to all your cloud apps. Employees will log into Bitium using their corporate Google Apps username and password. If Directory Sync is enabled, you can sync users and groups with Bitium as well.
Active Directory Integration is available on all Bitium plans, but the admin who sets it up must be a Google Apps admin.
Open the “Manage [ORG]” menu and select “Directories”.
On the Directory Set up screen, select “Google Apps”
On the Google Apps “Step 1: Services” page select either “Authentication”, “Directory Sync” or both. Click “Next”.
On the “Step 2: Connect” page, enter your domain, and click “Continue”.
On the “Step 3: Connect” page, click “Authenticate.” This will redirect you to select your google account in the popup. Select your account, then cLick “Close and Continue”.
Back on your Bitium Screen, the “Step 3: Connected” page will confirm that you are successfully connected to Google Apps. Click “Next”. If you did not enable “Directory Sync” skip steps 5-6.
On the “Step 4: Users” page, use the visual tree to select the Organizational Unit Users you want to sync with. Once selected, click “Preview” to view these users. Click “Next”.
On the “Step 4: Settings” page configure your directory with the options provided (by switching certain toggles on). Click “Continue”. In step 2 if you selected just “Directory Sync”, you have completed the Google directory sync setup.
On the “Step 5: Primary Auth” page, select “Sign in with Google” to activate primary authentication. Bitium will confirm the supplied information. Once confirmed, your users may log into Bitium using their corporate Google credentials.
