Configuring Google Apps Directory Sync

Before syncing your Google Apps directory with Bitium, you must first add it to the system as an app in Bitium.

Here are the steps for adding Google Apps as app in Bitium (if you have already done this, skip to the second set of instructions, below):

Add Google Apps as an App

  1. Access your admin menu by selecting “Manage [Org]” and then select “Settings.”
  2. Click Add More Apps.”
  3. Search for “Google Apps” and select that option.
  4. Enter your Google Apps domain in the appropriate field.
  5. Click “Install App.”
  6. Click “Assign Users”
  7. Search for and yourself as a user and click “Done” in the upper right corner.

Add Google Apps as a Directory

Once you’ve added AD as an app, you can now add it as a directory to sync users and groups with Bitium:

  1. Access your admin menu by selecting “Manage [Org]” and then select Directories.”

  2. Click the “Add Directory” button in the top right of your screen.

  3. On the next screen, choose “Google Apps” from the dropdown menu.

  4. Leave the toggle set to “ON.”“

  5. Click “Add Directory”

  6. If the status says “failed,” click “re-authenticate.”

  7. Click “Approve Access.”

  8. In the ensuing list, choose your Google Apps admin account

  9. Click “Continue”
