How to add an application

Bitium currently has integrations with over 7,000 web applications (apps) that can be installed onto one’s Bitium dashboard. In case the app is not available in the Bitium marketplace, it can also be requested and added by the Bitium team in seven to ten business days.

Adding or installing apps can be done in two ways, as an end-user or as an administrator (admin) of the organization.

End-users adding apps

If you are an end-user, meaning you have no admin rights, you can simply add an app by clicking the blue “Add An App” button on the left hand portion of your dashboard.

Note: the app marketplace is enabled by default but in case you cannot see the “Add An App” button, please contact one of your admins.

Once you find the correct app, click on it and you will be prompted to enter in your credentials and/or other login information depending on the app.

For apps that only require credentials, you can configure the app by inserting your username and password:

Enter the Required Info

For apps that require more information, you may need to add a subdomain or a full URL. This is dependent on the app’s requirements and there will be instructions on the page on how to configure the app.

Once you’ve entered in the correct information, click the blue “Add App” button.

As an administrator, you can add apps at an organizational level and assign it to specific users or groups.

To add an app, go to “Manage Apps”

At the top right hand portion of the page, click “Add an App”

In the search bar, type in the app that you wish to install for your organization.

Once you find the app, click “Add.” Edit the name of the app if desired, and supply any additional required information to configure the app for your organization’s use.

At this step, you will also need to decide whether this will be an individual or a shared app. Click here to know more about the difference between an individual app and a shared app.

Click “Create Installation” when complete.

After creating that installation, you can now assign this app to a specific user or group.
