Auto-provisioning users into Trello from Bitium
Organization admins that utilize Trello for their company needs can leverage Bitium’s auto-provisioning capabilities to import user accounts into Trello. Trello supports API based provisioning which allows Bitium to communicate with Trello and create accounts without ever having to login directly to Trello.
Click “Settings” from the Trello application menu within Bitium and make sure “Group Auto-Provisioning” is “On”.
From there, navigate to the “Connector” tab which will launch the Trello connector install. The connector allows Bitium to see existing users in Trello and link them with Bitium users.
Approve Access to Trello by clicking “Approve Access”.
Review the prompt from Trello asking the organization admin to let Bitium use the Trello account. Once reviewed, click “Allow” to enable Bitium access into the Trello team.
Select the correct account which is also known as a “Team” in Trello.
Click “Assign Users”.
Select the users you would like to assign to Trello. Be sure to add users that already have a Trello subscription by clicking “Select an existing user account”. This will link the Bitium and Trello account. For users that do not have a Trello account, select “Create a new user account”. Once it has been confirmed that all the users have been added, click “Done”.
Review the users being linked to existing Trello accounts and which users will have new accounts created in Trello via auto-provisioning. Then click “Process Users”.
Review the confirmation and then click “Go to Trello.”
Confirm you can now see the users assigned to Trello in the “Subscribers” tab within the application settings.
Confirm that users have been provisioned into the appropriate Trello team by logging into Trello directly and reviewing the users in the team.
That’s it! Bitium has now successfully provisioned users into Trello via the Trello API. From here, simply assigning new users to the application in Bitium will continue provisioning accounts into Trello.
