Configuring SAML for Thousand Eyes

REQUIRED ACCOUNT/PERMISSION LEVEL

Bitium: All account levels; must be admin to set up

Thousand Eyes: Must be admin to set up

In Bitium:

  1. Go to “Manage Apps.”

  2. Select “Thousand Eyes” from the list of installed apps.

  3. Click the “Single Sign-On” tab.

  4. Click the dropdown menu and select “SAML authentication.”

  5. Copy the Login URL, Logout URL, Entity ID and download the X.509 Certificate from Bitium.

Leave your Bitium window open.

In Thousand Eyes:

  1. Navigate to “Account Settings” and select “Security & Authentication.”

  2. Click “Enable Single Sign-On.”

  3. Paste the Login URL copied from Bitium in step 5 into the Login Page URL field in Thousand Eyes.

  4. Paste the Logout URL copied from Bitium in step 5 into the Logout Page URL field in Thousand Eyes.

  5. Paste the Entity ID copied from Bitium in step 5 into the Identity Provider Issuer field in Thousand Eyes.

  6. Type https://app.thousandeyes.com into the Service Provider Issuer field in Thousand Eyes.

  7. Upload the X.509 Certificate downloaded in Step 5 in the Verification Certificate section in Thousand Eyes.

    Single Sign-On

  8. Click “Save” in Thousand Eyes.

In Bitium:

  1. Click “Save Changes” in Bitium.

Note: You can test the connection with the “Run Single Sign-On Test” button.

Note: This app does not support JIT provisioning, so in order to authenticate into Thousand Eyes via Bitium, users must already have accounts in the Thousand Eyes app.
