Configuring SAML for


Bitium: All account levels; must be an admin to set up

StatusPage: Must be an admin to set up

In Bitium:

  1. Go to “Manage Apps.”

  2. Select “StatusPage” from the list of installed apps.

  3. Select the “Single Sign-On” tab.

  4. From the dropdown, select “SAML Authentication.”

Leave your Bitium window open and continue in a new tab.

In StatusPage:

  1. Navigate to “Manage Account.”

  2. Click on the “Single Sign On” tab.

    Important Note! There are two SAML setup options in StatusPage. The first set of fields, found under the heading “Enable SSO For Logging In To” is for accounts which exist in Statuspage. Setting this up will log any users you assign this to in Bitium into your StatusPage app. For this to work, users already need to exist in StatusPage, with the same email address as in Bitium. JIT provisioning is not yet supported by StatusPage, but is being worked on.

    The second set of fields, under the header “Enable SSO For Viewing The Status Page” will allow you to assign any of your users in Bitium the ability to view the status page, even if they aren’t users in This will require a separate installation of StatusPage in Bitium.

    Both of these are set up the same way, but will require two installations in Bitium of the StatusPage app. One for users who exist in, and another for users who do not exist in, whom you want to grant access to view the status page. The two different installations in Bitium will have different entity ids that you will copy into Please assign your users to your installations accordingly.   3. Copy the EntityID / Audience URI from StatusPage. Paste it into the Entity ID field in Bitium.

  4. Copy the Login URL from Bitium. Paste it into the SSO Target URL field in StatusPage.

  5. Copy the X.509 Certificate from Bitium. Paste it into the Certificate field in StatusPage.

  6. Click “Update Configuration” in StatusPage.

  7. In Bitium, go back to the Single Sign-On tab for StatusPage and click the “Save Changes” button.
