Configuring SAML for Solium Shareworks

REQUIRED ACCOUNT/PERMISSION LEVEL

Bitium: All account levels; must be an admin to set up

Solium: Email Solium to enable SAML for your account; must be an admin to set up

In Bitium:

Note: You will need two create two different app installations of “Solium Shareworks” in Bitium. One will be for admins, and the other will be for non-admins.

Install admin installation:

  1. Go to “Manage Apps.”

  2. Select “Solium Shareworks” from the list of installed apps.

  3. Click the “Single Sign-On” tab.

  4. Click the dropdown menu and select “SAML authentication.”

  5. Copy the Entity ID and X.509 Certificate from Bitium. (You will need to send this over to your contact at Solium.)

  6. Select “Company Administrator SSO” from the relay state dropdown.

  7. Click “Save” in Bitium.

Install non-admin installation:

  1. Go to “Manage Apps.”

  2. Select “Solium Shareworks” from the list of installed apps.

  3. Click the “Single Sign-On” tab.

  4. Click the dropdown menu and select “SAML authentication.”

  5. Select “Participant SSO” from the dropdown.

  6. Click “Save” in Bitium.

  7. Once Solium has completed the connection on their side, SAML will be enabled on your account.

  8. Assign this app installation to users in Bitium accordingly.

Note: When assigning users, Bitium should auto-populate the user’s Account Number or Username field with their company email address. This will be needed for SAML authentication. Please contact support@bitium.com if you experience any issues with this.
SAML Enabled will be illuminated in green once completed.
