Configuring SAML for New Relic

REQUIRED ACCOUNT/PERMISSION LEVEL

Bitium: All account levels; must be an admin to set up

New Relic: Pro or Enterprise accounts

In Bitium:

  1. Go to “Manage Apps”

  2. Select New Relic from the list of installed Apps

  3. Click the Single Sign-On Option

  4. Select “SAML Authentication” from the dropdown menu

  5. Click “Install App”

  6. Click “Configure Single Sign-On”

In New Relic:

  1. Navigate to SSO Settings (click Account Settings from the user dropdown in the top right, then click Single Sign-on from the left sidebar under the Security and Authentication section)

    Go to “Account Settings”

  2. Copy the Login URL from Bitium. Paste this into the Remote login URL field in New Relic.

  3. Download the X.509 Certificate from Bitium. Upload this into the SAML Identity Provider certificate area in New Relic.

  4. Copy the Entity ID from New Relic. Paste this into the Entity ID field in Bitium.

  5. Copy the Assertion Consumer URL from New Relic. Paste this into the ACS URL field in Bitium.

  6. Save in Bitium.

  7. Save in New Relic. Test your SAML configuration and then Enable SAML for the account.

New Relic does not support JIT provisioning at this time.
