Configuring SAML for Github


Bitium: All account levels; must be an admin to set up

Github: Enterprise level; must be an admin to set up

In Bitium:

  1. Go to “Manage Apps.”

  2. Select “Github” from the list of installed apps.

  3. Select the “Single Sign-On” tab.

  4. From the dropdown, select “SAML Authentication.”

Leave your Bitium window open and continue in a new tab.

In Github & Bitium:

  1. Access your Github instance by visiting the URL: https://hostname:port/setup/settings.

  2. Copy your Hostname from Github and paste into Hostname field in Bitium.

  3. Copy and paste Login URL from Bitium into Single sign-on URL field in Github.

  4. Download X.509 Certificate from Bitium and upload it in Verification certificate in Github.

  5. Click “Save Settings” in Github.

  6. Go back to the Single Sign-On tab for Github and click the “Save Changes” button.

SAML Enabled will be illuminated in green once completed.
