Configuring SAML for Blue Jeans

Bitium: All account levels; must be an admin to set up

Blue Jeans: Mmust be an admin to set up

In Bitium:

  1. Go to “Manage Apps.”

  2. Select “Blue Jeans” from the list of installed apps.

  3. Select the “Single Sign-On” tab.

  4. From the dropdown, select “SAML Authentication.”

Leave your Bitium window open and continue in a new tab.

In Bitium & Blue Jeans:

  1. Go to https://bluejeans.com/enterprise-admin/#group-settings. Click on the “Security” tab.

  2. Under Authentication Options, choose SAML Single Sign On.

  3. If you would like to enable JIT Provisioning, check the box that says “Enable automatic provisioning”. This will allow new BlueJeans user accounts to be created automatically when new users authenticate into the app using SAML. Therefore you can simply assign users the SAML enabled app in Bitium in order to provision them into your BlueJeans account.

  4. In Bitium, download your X.509 Certificate. Upload this to BlueJeans under “Certificate Path.”

  5. Copy the Bitium Login URL. Paste this into the “BlueJeans Login URL” field.

  6. Also paste the Bitium Login URL into the “Password Change URL” field. We don’t currently support this feature with SAML, but please contact support@bitium.com if it’s something you’re interested in.

  7. Copy the Logut URL from Bitium. Paste this into the “BlueJeans Logout URL” field.

  8. Leave the “Custom Error Page URL” field blank.

  9. Skip the Metadata and relay state for a moment. Check the box that says ‘Pick User Id from saml2:NameID element’ in Bluejeans.

    • For the Email field in Bluejeans, fill in the value “EmailAddress”.
    • For the Username field in Bluejeans, fill in the value “DisplayName”.
    • For the First Name field in Bluejeans, fill in the value “FirstName”.
    • For the Last Name field in Bluejeans, fill in the value “LastName”.

    The other fields can be left blank.

  10. Save in Bluejeans. This should refresh the page and generate a value for the RelayState.

  11. Copy the RelayState from Bluejeans. Paste this into the “SAML Relay State” field in Bitium.

  12. Click “Save Changes” in Bitium.

SAML Enabled will be illuminated in green once completed.
